just got back from montana took the 6mmbr and the 7mmbr out for goats.first up was the 7br,i used it to take a doe at about 300yards,the first round was a good lung hit and she ran about 40 yards and i put #2 in her neck .the 6br was next ,i took a buck at about 165-175yards on the run with 1 shot BANG-FLOP.the buck maesured out at 15 3/4" on the left and 16 1/4 "on the right.

Way to go Deadeye,

I used my xp in 6BR to take a coulple of goats last year. I used the 80 gr Nosler BT. They basicly dropped on the spot. This year (next week) I'll be using the 70 Gr Nosler BT in my 6mm TCU.

What bullet and load combo did you end up using?

Congratulations Deadeye! That 6BR is a shooter. I'm looking for one in a XP now.
HuntKng, keep us posted on the performance of the 70 BT. I use a 6TCU and was thinking about using that bullet for deer but decided on the 80grn Speer SP Hot Core out of my Bullberry Carbine.
I have got to get a 6TCU Contender barrel. They are too much fun and easy to load.
I used my XP100R in .260 and my 7BR XP last year on two goats in WY.

I must agree!! Sounds like a good time. I'm going to get out there someday and get a speed goat.

the load i used was a 15 year old box of factory ammo from rem loaded with a 100gr core-loke sp.here in mn we end up having to take shots on moving deer so i have had a lot of time to perfect my style(in other words it was a lot of luck with a little skill thrown in )
kodye-thanks for turning me on to this round i may have time to work up a load with 80gr ssp bullits.

sadly....sierra has discontinued the sspb bullets stock up a few while you can, n then work up another load using a 80gr nosler, 80gr speer, or another one suitable for such use in the future.
