I have a encore .308 stainless, A while back I picked up a .223 barrel for cheaper/less recoil practice. Does anyone know of a good economical .223 factory round for practice and occasional small game/varmit hunting. I do not reload and have not shot the .223 barrel yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My neighbor has a 15" .223 Encore barrel and it shoots the Black Hills 50 or 55grn SP very well and the Winchester White box 50grn HPs. They shoot very close to the same. He has taken coyotes and some prairie dogs with the Winchester stuff from Wal Mart. Good luck

Mike

I use Black Hills in the blue box(remanufactored). I love it on paper and in the field.
