Hey guys, just picked up a Desert Eagle .50AE and need some advise on a Red dot that'll handle the recoil? If anybody has any experience with this "mule" and red dots, please let me know? And a picture of your gun would be nice . Thanks...........

I have complete confidence in my UltraDot. I have the 30mm UltraDot-4 & love it. Along with the 10 brightness settings you have 4 different dot sizes avzilzble at the rotation of a knob so you have the right dot for any conditions or needs. It's held up well to about 3 yrs of all kinds of Alaskan semi-costal weather & a few good spills along with a steady diet of 320s & around 1350. Never even needed re-zeroed.

Thanks guys for the advise! I may have jumped the gun a little, but I ordered a Sightron 33mm with the 4 different aiming reticles. I liked the idea of the 4 reticles, 10 brightness settings and the "unlimited lifetime over the counter replacement warranty". Should be here in a couple days and will report on it then. Thanks again..........

I'll be looking forward to your report on the Sightron. What's the price on them?

I've had both a Leupold 2x and a Leupold Gilmore red dot on my .50AE Desert Eagle. I put the red dot on my six inch .44Mag barrel as I liked the Leupold 2x better on the .50 as it picks up a little less glare in bright light for me when I'm deer hunting. I've been using an Uncle Mike's ten inch TC scoped Encore/Contender holster for my Desert Eagles as it works with both the six and ten inch barrels I have and works with the see-through Desert Eagle rings from MRI. I'm not sure if it will work with your Sightron, but it would be worth checking as most of the scoped revolver or scoped TC holsters will work. Let me know if you're interested in a matte black 10" .44 Mag barrel as I acquired a second Desert Eagle that had both a six and ten inch barrel, and I already had a ten inch. barrel for my first one. I'll make you a great deal on it! Since you bought the .50 all you would need would be the .44 magazines. Email me at bobhanson1@excite.com if interested, or just to talk about your Desert Eagle as not too many people use them!!

I have a "Gunmate" bandolier type from Cabela's. Not the greatest but fit my budget.
One I hear great things about comes from Alaska Sportsman's Products. Here's their web site

http://www.alaskasportsmanproducts.com/

The make one for scoped DEs as well as LARs. Available with r without mag pouches. I don't own one (that darn budget again) but have handeled them in person & the quality seems 1st rate.
They cover most other autos & revolvers as well.

I have a shoulder holster from Michaels of Oregon. It is for my 71/2in. Ruger bisley 357 mag. I have a Millet red dot scope on it and both fit in the holster great. The holster is also camoed. Dennis.
