Santa Rosa Elk in Trouble?

In October, President Bush signed the 2007 Defense Authorization Act, “which included a...provision saving hundreds of elk and mule deer on Santa Rosa Island from the court-ordered extermination that was to begin in 2008 and be completed by 2011. Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein have now attached an amendment to the Military Construction Appropriations bill that will overturn the current law and exterminate hundreds of healthy elk and mule deer on Santa Rosa Island off the coast of California.” SCI will keep you posted. Sounds like the exterminating is needed elsewhere!!

Hey guys, I have a really cool idea. Let's take all the Dem anti's and provide them with a 1 month fully paid vacation on some very small, isolated Island off the coast of Alaska during the Salmon run. I'd like to see them give the Coastal Browns one of their speeches. I'm pretty sure a warm fuzzy feeling will be felt by all; warm blood and brown fuzzy fur! I am guessing that after all the animals on Santa Rosa are gone, some Dem will want to buy it for their own private retreat or condos. Plus, don't you love it when these a-holes hide these things in between other bills? ...and now the Dems want to reintroduce the draft! New Zealand is looking better and better.

We need a Const amend banning riders on the bills - if it isn't part of the bill, write a new bill. Half the stupid crap we get is the result of such riders.

OR, line item veto and the backbone to use it.

Why NZ?

No handgun hunting allowed in New Zealand. (Otherwise we'd have all moved there after John Howard started banning everything he could.)
