Konar Province, Afghanistan, that is.

Just reviewed 30 pages of posts trying to stay awake on radio watch....I realized the following:

1. Gary, it's time....we need something new to read.

2. Of Gerry's (Bullelkhunter) 500 some odd posts, only 2 are regarding calibers less than 338 (OK, maybe 3).

3. Tigger needs to change his name to Chuck or Charles.

4. Steve and XP, pistols are for short range.

5. DanB - you have way too many barrels. Does your wife know the exact number?

Merry Christmas everyone.

Dan

You lucky devil - I always wanted to go hunting in Afghanistan.

Oh DanS, but I do have many other barrels collecting dust in my safe! I actually have multiple 222's and 223's, 6.5mm, 7mm, and many 30 cals. I shoot them alot, but not nearly as much as my 338-06, 41 and 44 mags, 416 and 45-70. I carried my .500 for deer this year and it was a very nice walk, but thats all it was! I love my 223 and 308 and surplus ammo-can you send me some? Unfortunately, when I go to the range with barrels and screw driver in hand, I have to take time to change them. I only have 3 Encore and 5 Contender frames; some dedicated to certain barrels. Hey my cousin just got back from hunting in Afganistan a while ago, but he couldn't find the Bin-laddy-boy. maybe next time. He did bring me a few really cool Pashtunni hats-real wool and one made from a US woodland jacket material. Say safe and practice your long range shooting!

Dear Dan, A retired veteran salutes you and your fellow wariors. You are the best of us, and your sacrifice keeps us all safe. I fought in the 1st Gulf War, my son in Iraqi Freedom. I got to see him before he left, and when he came back safely. He boarded his plane with these words from me in his ears. I share them now with you and your fellow soldiers. "May God stand between you and harm, in the Empty Places you must walk". A blessing from ancient times, as powerful today as it was then, and as heart-felt. God bless one and all, and a very politically incorrect Merry Christmas!!!!!

Are you for sure #4 is true???
We are just really getting started in one sense--Just imagine what can be done with the right rifle if we & others can do this with SP's.

Oops-I said the "R" word

On a more serious note: Thanks for reminding us where you are and Thank You for serving your country in this way.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Willing to gather from the other members and take care of the shipping if any of you guys want to pitch in...Mighty proud of our Men and Women over there!

Dan, Merry Christmas from all of us Downunder. Keep switched on and stay safe. Got mates over there at the moment, but can't comment much about that.

re point 4. Scary thing is that some of their barrels are longer than the ones on the M4 you blokes use!
