I cant believe I did it again!! We had a Gun Show this weekend and of course I HAD to be dragged by the arm to go. I tried to tell her I should stay home and do some chores but she PUSHED me out the door and said have a good time. Well, a good time to me is a GREAT deal on an older model 57 4" stainless 41mag and a Brand spankin new Ruger Alaskan in 44mag. When I came home empty handed she couldnt believe it. Said I must be ill. Of course, having to wait till my permits come back from the County Clerks office will give me time to soften her up with a nice dinner out and maybe, just maybe mind you a nice bouguet of roses to the office. Maybe I should skip the flowers, with my luck she'll think I had an affair or somethin'.

Was that the Rochester show at the Dome?? I haven't been to that in years. I should try and make it up there some time.

Well, good luck with the wife. You can alway tell her it's an investment waiting to mature in the future.

Dale--The show was at the dome, but you didnt miss anything. At this time of year it was only in the front section. The back was a garage sale/flea market. The dealers that are normally there weren't and most of what was there was older military style and a lot of AR/AK parts. Wasn't a lot to choose from in the way of handguns, I just got lucky finding these two.
BTW, anyone looking for contender barrels, a local gun shop I was at today had 5 barrels with scopes from leupold to burris. They had a 222 rem, 22LR, 22mag, 223rem & 30-30 super 14 hunter barrel w/brake. Prices were 300 and under. They were all in excellent condition. Just thought Id pass it on. Someone is always lookin'.

Enjoy your shows now guys; Nancy et al is in charge and they're come like gang-busters! It won't be much more than two years and we are in for bad times. My only hope is that they screw up royally and the people get fed up and fight back. I'm not banking on that.
