Anyway, good article on the new Thompson Center "Icon" rifle built by TC and the new 30TC round. This round will be in the Encore soon from what I hear. It is a shortened 308 case, with a 150grn bullet from the Icon rifle or Encore they are claming 3000 fps. That's close to 30-06 performance. Short acction, 25% less powder and less recoil.
I will have one. If for nothing else but to get another set of dies. Hornady is producing the ammo.

The only hitch here may be that Hornady could be using a blend of powders to get this performance. They want to sell you loaded ammo at an outlandish cost. They may not be anxious to let reloaders know what they are using. This may not be the case but I'm betting the performance with powder a reloader can buy may be less.IMO

You definitely will NOT be able to reproduce factory ballistics with handloads.
