i posted this in the classifieds as a WTB! but thought i should also post this in here. so i can get some info on these guns. sence i have no idea what i am looking for in the TC handguns

basicly i would like to get a long range gun. something i can shoot 100-300yards. like 7mm or a caliber close to that.

i have no idea where to look. ive been on TC's sight but cant read there specs if my life depended on it. they are to all over the place. i would like to know where i can buy one new it possible. if not i guess i will need to buy used.

anyway any help would be awesome

thanks alot

I just got the Pro Hunter handgun frame through Cabelas. They told me it would take about 8 weeks to get and it came in in 3 weeks. My first barrel is going to be the muzzle loader barrel through Fox Ridge.

Where to get? Your local gunshop would be a start. If not in stock they will have catalog(s) from their supplier(s) with the factory offerings.

What to get? If you want to shoot 300 yards with effect and don't mind the weight the Encore would be the way to go. The 7mm-08 Rem is a good factory offering. From there you can add tubes as needed. Bullberry, On Target Technologies, Coyote Guns, Match Grade Machine, Fox Ridge Outfitters are just some of the fabricators that can service this demand. I prefer the Contender (original) but you can't load it to the pressure of the Encore. But it's just lighter and easier to handle and fits my hand better.

There are a lotta articles right, features and technical, here that should provide informative reading as well.

Hope this helps, Rod.

If they, or someone else you'd know, would be willing to do a FFL transfer I know of quite a few sources for frames.

I've found it useful to develop a relationship with one FFL, even if I might pay a couple of dollars more for a gun, ammo, or supplies. In the end it will pay off when I need to do a private transfer or special order.
