Can you guess what it is? I'll fill in the details when I get home this afternoon.

Can't be that. I'll bet Dan is thawing out the water jugs for the shoot. I told him not to store them outside.

Sweet Dan
I've wanted top build a new bench just so I could do that!
Unfortunately my cutrrent bench is high enough that an additional 1.5" would be uncomfortable, & it runs wall to wall in the garage
The next bench I build though.....
I wascwondering why we haldn't heard from you

That's easy. It's a big dovetailed thingamajig. I got mine from Midsouth for $10 less than what it cost you to build yours.

My wood was free and took only a couple hours to make. I also made three wedges to swap my three presses and a shelf to store them when not in use.

Hah. I was being unsuccessfully humorous.
Now, what exactly is it? A press extension?

It's just a simple way to easily remove and store presses in another location w/o having to use clamps or mess with bolts and away from the work area. The shelf (pics possibly tomorrow) will be mounted above the bench and the wedges (w/ presses mounted) can slide into it and out of the way until needed.

I should have the shelf mounted today. Will take pics and post when completed.

Is that a pre-fab work bench top? If so, where did you find it? Looks nice.

Several guys had accused me of stealing a hunk of bowling alley!!! I bought this butcher block top at a local freight salvage store for $50. It was 8 ft long, 30 inches wide, and 1.5 inches thick. It was damaged on both ends so I cut three inches off each end since it was to long in the first place. Finally used it Sat and it sure is nice and SOLID.
