I was at my local gun shop today and saw a SS Contender with TCA on the frame instead of the Cougar. It had wood grips and forend with a 7-30 Waters barrel. It said it was unfired for I believe $339.00. Its at Johnson Sporting Goods in Adrian, MI if anyone is interested. I may be a little low on the price but its in the ballpark.

Dude, I was just going to go there the other night, but couldn't. I like Johnson's, prices aren't rape, serive is good, and they're friendly.

As far as the Contender goes, seems like a good deal to me.

This is not the G2 its the older style frame. I'm guessing it may have been a limited edition with the special engraving on it.

Darn right that's a special edition, and for that price you'd best jump on it quick regardless of caliber, (even though for deer, there are no flies on the 7-30 Waters). TCA is the abbreviation for the Thompson Center Collectors Assoc. Get it now or kick yourself in the butt forever after.

I went and saw this yesterday, its nice. It definatly has never been shot. If you're looking for a collectors piece, go for it, other wise the other Contender would be a better choice.
