I just ordered one as I am unable to pay almost $600 for a S&W. I have need for a double action 22 revolver. Has anyone seen one of these?Shot one?Held one in their hands? My cost on this peace was under $150. How bad can it be?report to follow. - F50

Got the Comanche I today. Comes in nondescript box no frils. Fit and finish are better than expected. Trigger is bad at best. Will have to see if it will shoot straight and then work on slicking things up. Grips are OK but must be made for smaller hands than mine. I'm going to try and adapt a set of Hogues I have for a K frame SW. Further reports to follow. - F50

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Dug into the Comanche today and spent an hour or two just removing and polishing action it now breaks very clean and smooth with no take-up but still has a very stiff trigger. I'm going to try some trigger springs and see what happens. I have also contacted Jim Bridger about some wood grips in the future but for now took the dremmel to the factory ones and made them fit prety good.I believe S&W J frame would fit but don't have a pair to try. Will get som pic's going soon. I think I can post here from Photobucket can't I?
