I am thinking about playing around with a red dot scope on one of my encores (15" .243.) Don't know if I will like it or not. A friend of mine suggested to buy a cheaper scope first in case I don't care for them. He suggested a Tasco propoint PDP3CMP | 1x30mm or PDTS132 | 1x32mm. anyone tried one of these or have any info on them?

I have one of these on a 12" .44 Mag 'Tender tube and like it a lot. I prefer the green dot over the red. It is easier on the eyes in low light and shows up great in daylight.

Red/Green Dot

It has 5 intensity settings for each color which is plenty, I don't see a need for the 11 that most have, FWIW, Rod.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.
