Does anybody have any experience with a 15" 25-06 Encore barrel? I was considering one and wonder what kind of results others have had with this barrel.

well kinda...i have a .257 roberts 15" barrel for my encore.the roberts is a older cartridge that is only a couple hundred fps. behind a 25-06,i took my first handgun deer and a turkey last year with it ,im hooked!the 25-06 should make a good choice...jim257

Unsure of specific data on the 25-06, but I know there is one (on this forum or one of the others) who has a 257 Rob Ackley Imp. who had good success. The performance should basically be the same. Another way to consider it is to expect 25 souper (25-308) rifle performance in your handgun length barrel. The quarter-bore is a great caliber varmints on up.
