I know it is off topic, but yesterday was the Navy’s 232 birthday. I wound have posted this yesterday but I was in Fl playing for a Navy ball.

what instrument do you play? I played in the Ohio State University Marching Band....B flat trumpet, E flat trumpet (Effer) and flugle horn....5 years! Great to hear others are musically inclined.

My under-grade was on tuba. I marched trombone and tuba. While working on my masters I took up bass trombone because complimented my embouchure more. I had to take up the baritone to get in the Navy. Ironically, the detailer sent the other tubbiest to Italy and now I am back on tuba.

The short, short version.

Cool story...My Dad played Tuba to get thru school at Ohio Univ. He was the school band director back in the 1950's at my high school. All of us played in the band, my brother and I on trumpet, oldest sister on clarinet and youngest sister on flute and picolo. I'll bet you have some stories....I know I do!
