I would like to tell you about something that happened to me on my last hunt and
after

I was on a special muzzle loader hunt in north Florida last week end with my T/C
Encore 45cal black powder pistol.I had lent my usual gun/handgun stand to a
Friend that was hunting muzzle loader for the first time and did not have a
stand for a gun hunt. Decided that that I was going to use my archery a Summit
Bullet backpack model stand that had a gun rest attach ment. The day be for the
hunt started we setup the stands and upon climbing the first time We had noticed
a creak in the pivot joints of the stand. Well this got louder and louder as the
three day hunt went. By the last day it was so loud that it was not usable and i
was ground hunting.

When I returned home I contacted summit. After a short time on hold I was
talking to a Representative. After explaining the problem she instructed my to
remove all of the padding and the seat and that Summit would be sending me new
frame, And a label for return mail to them AT NO COST TO ME.

Just thought that this may help you a little next time you are looking at tree
stands

In my opinion Summit is one of the last few "Good" stand companies around. Most are now "outsourced" to across the border workers and that really tears it for me!! I will NOT buy from the companies that now have all there work done "down south"! PERIOD!!!! Before I get attacked here on that statement.........yes I know most everything you can put your hands on in our homes and lives are made down there now but for some reason the treestand industry going that way just burns my butt!!!!! I live within 5 minutes of the original API stand company and still think that founder Paul Meeks is a stand up guy and great christian but hate the fact that he sold out and their products are now biult across the border. API used to employ alot of people in our small little town but not anymore!!
Well..........sorry this seemed to turn into a gripe on my part but this is something thats been bothering me for awhile now!

To address your comments more directly............Summit is in my opinion the stand company to support out the "Big" ones anyway. They are still made here in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Enough said!
