Just want to give you guys a heads up. I was in a local Wal-Mart yesterday and they were selling there 30-30 ammo for $9.96 a box for both Win. and Remington. BUT - Remington has a rebate on any Core-Lokt ammo of $5.00 per box. That made total price of $4.96 per box. Not a bad price for practice ammo.
All the details are at the Reminton.com site. Click on "Load Up For Savings" link. Offer is for 2 boxes per household so if you want more you'll have to get a friend to let you send rebate to his house. I got 4 boxes of 150 gr yesterday and may pick up a couple more.
Rebate offer applies to other calibers as well for those of you with encores shooting bigger rifle calibers. But hurry offer applies to ammo purchased till Dec. 31
Just an update. I was at the Winchester site a little while ago and they are having a similar rebate program to Remington. So I guess you could have your pick of Rem. or Win.
