Second Blood.
My buddy tried first time my TC Contender 309 J.D.J. A perfect double hit. Target about the size of a watermelon at 200 meters and his nose! See the nice cut. He will never be a Contender fan. ;\)

No one else was cut this day and they could't believe that they hit the small target with the Contender at 200 meters. Ammo was a 135grs. Sierra SSP bullet. Scope is a Burris 2-7x Duplex.

Well...no wonder he got cut! He's shooting it left handed!! And we all know that Contenders do not like to be shot backwards!!

BTW...nice range!

Fantastic pics. Looks like a great day at the range.

Could you not get that guy to hold that pistol correctly. He was not only going to induce pain but will never shoot straight like that. Some people just don't get it. He will now. Show him those pics and let him see what he was doing wrong and he will never hit himself again until he takes that awkward shot at the biggest buck of his life from a tree stand.

Watermellons at 200 yards, COOL!! It's great to show the non-belivers or rifle boys what a good handgun CAN do!

A watermelon at 200 yards. Just goes to show what you can do if you put your nose to the grindstone...

I like seeing thinks explode. Sweet.

A general, 4 star, shooting a watermelon at 75 yards is the reason we have the 22 cal M16 in service today.

Nice Range!!

Get a little bit of padding in that pack and it will make a better rest to shoot from.

I have the same setup regarding scope. I shot Whitetail #56 with this particular barrel this past Christmas Eve; 220 yards, no sweat.

It is nice to see people practice at the distances that they hunt. It is also just fun to burn powder.

You have given me inspiration for a new shoot at our club. Pistol silhouette for melons at 100 and 200 yards.

Otherwise, gallon milk jugs full of water at 200 yards would be a great test of ones shooting skills with a T/C Contender. Maybe even half gallon jugs at 100 yards.

Excellent practice. At Dan B's shoot we were hitting milk jugs out to 500 yeards with Encores and XP's. I could not miss at 300 with my Encore and 243 barrel. 400 yards I was 50% and 500 was 20% shots on. Dan B was a better shot at 500 than me but hey, he gets to practice more. \:\) It's his range. LOL<LOL
