Yes I have the Chrony super-duper with extension read-out and printer capability. I wouldn't leave home without it. IMHO-It is really the safest, affordable way to get teh most veolocity within the safest pressures. Many times I've reached published velocities before published maximum, and many tiems I've never reached the advertised velocity before sticking cases or flowing a primer. It also allows me to know and understand the true ballistics of my loads. Great question!!

I guess I should have given my response...
I have an Oehler 35P but no printer. I figured I could buy a lot of pencils for the price of the printer.

yep, i got one! works just fine, even though it was injured last year sometime.
i never realized just how valuable these things are, until ol "lonerider" wised me up. i owe him a great deal for showing me the ways of the force.
i'll never be without one again...thats for sure! without one you are blind, imo.
mine is as cheap as they come....literally(thanks lonerider). it is the standard CHRONY brand with no bells, or whistles. still tells me what i want to know.

sorry for being so windy today fellers .......must be these midnight shifts are gettin to me.

My beloved wife bought the top of the line Chrony for a couple of years ago along with the tripod. You know, I've never used it. I think I took it out of the box once to mount on the tripod. I guess I fear that I would in a moment of stupidity shoot. So it sits in the boxes where it is safe.

Not yet. Hopefully soon, but I keep finding guns I need/want. I've been eyeing up a S&W .44 mag mountain gun and now our daughter finally seems interested in shooting. She is very petite so I'll probably need to buy a handgun specifically for her small hands. Of course any excuse to buy a handgun is a good one.

I do, & I'm betting I can get the award for the oldest. It's a Competition Electronics "Pro Tach". I still have the warranty that says they'll fix it for $25.00 if you shoot it. It still works good, but I'm betting that if I shoot it they'll send me a new model. I doubt they've got parts for this thing. I'm guessing it's right at 20 yrs old.

Oehler 35, with several nicks in the screens. Oh heck, make that, holes in the screens.

I had a Shooters Chrony Model F1 for many years. Well until we tried to chronograph some home loaded .30-06 Accelerators that is. One of the Sabot's wiped out the readout panel. Sent it in to Shooters Chrony, and for a minimal fee (don't remember the exact amount) they replaced it. At the same time I upgraded to the Shooters Chrony Model F1 Master with the remote readout head. Both have worked excellent for me, but I do like the remote readout a lot better.

I have an Oehler 35p. Had a Pact model One before this one. It was very picky about when it wanted to operate. The Oehler is not picky at all. very dependable. Love the printer, just print and staple to my load sheet.

Yes, a bottom of the line Chrony F1. I can do all the writing and math myself.

Have a Chrony F-1 that I can borrow from work. The no-frills model.

I own a pro chrono model, it works well. I originally bought it to
tune my bows, now I also use it on my guns.

I've had my Chrony F1 for about 6 years now and am very happy with it. I've compared it side by side with a 35P and the 35P had a lot more bells and whistles but they seemed to agree very closely on velocity.

If I ever replace it I'll get one with the display I can set on the bench but that's a "frill" and not really necessary.

Can't imagine load development without my Chrony.

LDHunter...isn't that the truth! I feel like I am shooting blind without the chrony set up.

I just got a Chrony Gamma with remote and printer. Shooting over it certainly adds a new dimension to load development.

Chrony Beta Master w/readout display you can set on bench w/15' cord and control head. Works great.

I bought a used Oehler 35P off www.varminthunters.com classifieds last year and its great. Only had trouble clocking some 35-06JDJ loads. I suspect the muzzle blast was to much and I moved the skyscreens 15 ft away from the bench and it worked fine. I had used it before with the 35-06JDJ and it worked fine.

My wife got me the top of the line CED millinium and it is great. I don't ever go shooting without it. Very easy to setup and use. I don't know how I got along without it.
