Hello,
I'm Jim and live in Central Wisconsin. I haven't been successful with a handgun hunting yet, but will make the total commitment starting with coyotes and my Encore this January. I also enjoy fly fishing and fly tying, reloading, black powder (inline and cap lock), and I bow hunt. This is an awesome sight and the forum contains a wealth of information for a relative newbie! Thanks in advance and good luck on the hunt! Be safe!

Hey ya'll, I'm Wayne from right in the middle of Georgia. I've got four Super Blackhawks, and I'm loading for them and shooting them every other day. I build fly rods, tie flies, and head to the Ga mountains every chance I get to wade in the water and wiggle a stick. In the spring, I lay out of work and turkey hunt.
If I had expired young, I would have avoided the vicissitudes of old age. I reckon them vicissitudes are OK, though, considering the options.

I'm Gary. I have been hunting exclusively with handguns since 1982, life's ups and downs permiting. Bought my first handgun in 1981 (T/C Contender 10" .357 Herret). All in all I have taken 43 whitetails, 2 black bears, numerous pheasant-rabits-doves-squirrels-woodcock-groundhogs,etc.. Gew up in central Pennsylvania, and moved around Pa. for a couple of years after graduating from Penn State University(Wildlife Technology) ending up in the Poconos for 20 years. Now I'm back in Lewistown,Pa. for the past seven years.I love anything out of doors or related: hunting, fishing, fly tying, rod building, mountain biking, hiking, camping, motor boating,kyaking,canoeing,handloading,etc..I've been an intermitent member of Handgunn Hunters International since about 1982(member#1665).As far as hunting handguns go I preently have a T/C Contender(.309JDJ & .45/.410),XP-100(.284Win.),XP-100(.223Rem.),Magnum Research Lone Eagle(7-08Rem.),Super Redhawk(.44Rem.mag),Blackhawk "50 yr."Commemorative F.T."(.44Rem.mag.),S&W M500(500S&W mag.). I just purchased a C.V.A. Optima .50 cal. inline pistol and would appreciate any loading info. for it that anyone can give me for practice and, of couse, hunting.

Hi I'm Willy, I'm from Argentina. I'm new to handgun hunting. I was interested in this form of hunting for some time, and searching the web I found this interesting site, where there are people with much experience. I enjoy reading the articles and the forum, I hope soon to have my experiences.

Do any handgunners use shooting stixs if so what kind or do you hunt from a stand or blind, I think I would have to have a rest at this stage maybe by deer season I'll be more better.

That is a great question Reno! A very useful tool in the field. You might get a little more help with this post if you start a new thread in the “Shooters Bench.” When posting on threads like this one it will get overlooked by a lot of users. Starting a new thread will draw more attention to your question. Keep posting questions!!!

My name is Chris and I'm new to the handgun game. Been hunting in Texas since 1987 and grew bored with the rifle. I enjoy the bow too. Bought a Ruger SBHH in 44 mag about a year ago and still practicing to get more accurate. Love the forum as there is plenty of knowledge and know-how to soak up here.
