Reckon its about time I posted under this thread and introduced myself. My name is Josh and I'm from upstate NY. My girlfriend and I are currently both full time students in Pharmacy School here in Albany. My two younger brothers and I have been following my dad into the big woods since we could walk. I spend most of my hunting season (when I'm not at school) in the Adirondacks during northern zone or the Catskills during southern zone. My dad has always owned and hunted with both long guns and pistols which is why I now carry a handgun into the woods. I belong to our local pistol team and compete when I can. I also shoot (once in a while) on a 4 position .22 rifle team at the same club. When its not hunting season, I ice fish almost every weekend once the lakes around here freeze up. I also coyote, grouse and rabbit hunt in the winter, trout and walleye fish in the spring, summer and early fall and shoot all year round. I've really enjoyed posting so far and look forward to doing so in the future.
If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

Great site guys!!! My name is Chuck and I live in Monroe,MI with my wife and daughter. I'm a career firefighter for Frenchtown Twp. Have been hunting for 15 years with shotgun, rifle and compound bow. Recently inherited my dads handguns. H&R 949 .22, Taurus PT-22 .22, Walther PPK .380 ACP and Ruger SRH .44 w/9.5" barrel. Looking forward to getting to know the SRH hopefully for '09 deer seasons. Hunt deer in MI and in southern OH. Looking forward to reading and posting. Keep the info. coming.

My name is Mike. Been handgun hunting since 1983 I think. I'm a soon to be retired Army NCO. "Rangers lead the way".
I'm a XP100 fan. Have built several over the years and wish I had kept every one of them. The two I have will get my by for a while. 308 Win is my favorite handgun cartridge. I hunt whitetail, hogs, & coyotes. I also love to squirrel hunt with 22LR handguns.

howdy...im back(use to go by jim257 several years back!)kinda got off track and now im back,ive taken several deer and turkey with a encore and really want to get back into handgunning for critters!

Hi My name is John. I enjoy challege of hunting close range. I started with blackhawk 44 mag and now have it along with tc contender in 44 mag, 17 H2 and 22. I am looking at getting a 7X30 waters for longer shoots. Good site with great information. Treeman comes from working as forest ranger in NC.

Names Mike. I'm from down east North Carolina. Fasinated with handguns since my youth. Trying to pick squirrels out of the pines with an old H&R 22LR.Read a magize article by some writer I wish I could remeber who that used his .357 for everthing from squirrels to deer. Made the mistake of Trading a shotgun for a S&W md27 .357 mag. It was too late to turn back then. Now after dozens of handguns later I'm still hooked. Presently shooting TC Contenders and Rugers from 22LR to .45-70's. Still have that S&W though.

Hi! My name is Mike. I've been hunting with a handgun since 1984. I have hunted both with a revolver & the speciality pistols. Currently I use a Smith 460 XVR topped off with a Leupold 4x scope. I am a machinest/toolmaker by trade. I work for a military contractor in York,Pa. I switched to handgun hunting for more of a challange and I have been hooked ever since.

My name is Gary, I've just started handgun hunting a few years ago, but have been shooting and reloading most of my life. I'm the former bowhunting editor and hunting product specialist for Boar Hunter Magazine and have contributed to many others. Most recently, I contributed two chapters to a book by Paladin Press called, "The Paladin Book of Dangerously Fun Stuff." It features other wirters such as Jeff Cooper, Col. Charles Askins, Ernest R. Emerson, Major John L. Plaster, and many others. http://www.paladin-press.comI have a G2 Contender in .375 JDJ, and .223 Rem. I also have a .44 Mag Raging Bull and a Ruger .22 pistol I shoot squirrels with. Handgun hunting allows me to mix my close-range paasion of bowhunting with my love of shooting and reloading. Though recently I've learned I can also make some very impressive precision shots at medium rifle ranges with them! Gotta love it!!!!

Hi Gary,I'm new to this web site also. Due to an injury at work, I started hunting with a revolver solely.And I'm excited about it.I also have been shooting/reloading sice I was knee-high to a grasshopper but recently got excited about the challenges of successfully aquiring game with a piece of equipment that everyone in my area conciders a stunt. I shot alot of game with rifles and bows but, something just draws me to my handguns. I got addicted when I shot a pheasant in the head running through the weeds with a .22 single-six. since then I always have a handgun on me !! the people here will share their infinite knowledge with you. i've never seen a site that was always so willing to help you everyone is helpful and courtious!!
