Hello everyone,

I am not new to hunting. I began over 50 years ago shooting grasshoppers with my BB gun for fishing bait. I currently have a Blackhawk in 41 mag and an Encore in 243.

I have yet to seriously hunt with these due to lack of time or being in a locale where they cannot be used to hunt with. I am currently in Ohio and may get out this fall with my Blackhawk.

I shoot 210g softpoints over H110.

Very accurate, I just have to do my part.

My name is Scott and I am a pistol-aholic

I belonged to this site a few years back and just re-stumbled back into it(I found the bookmark on my old computer). Anyway, I re-registered and am excited to be part of this community.

In 2000 I switched from hunting big game with a rifle to a handgun when I purchased my Encore in .308, and I have never looked back. Before that I hunted some with a S&W 41 mag as a backup to my rifle--but I always ended up using the rifle. Now I don't even own a legal big game rifle. I love chasing mule deer and elk with my Encore. I also have a 223 barrel for off season fun.

Hello, my name is Jason and I've been handgun hunting for about three years now. Got serious into bow hunting for a few years but I like handguns a lot more so I'm putting hangunning at the top of the list for this season.
I'm an Elmer Keith fan and like wheelguns with open sights, shoot .357, .41, .44 and .45lc. Ruger single actions and S&W revolvers.
Into all kinds of shooting but mostly long range rifle. Live in Texas so do a lot of pig hunting.
I'm sure I'll learn a lot here and looking forward to doing some serious handgun hunting this year.

Hi Neighbor!! I'm from Central Pa. (Altoona). Around here, a handgun for hunting is almost unheard of. I'm all alone here! Everone I talk to carrys one in hunting season for extra weight to lug around. I had a crippling injury at work and use a handgun because rifles and crutches don't mix very well. Now, I'm addicted! It's good to see a Pa handgunner here!!

My name is Eric, I live in Iowa. I have been hunting/shooting for about 35 years. I have been hunting small game with handguns for years, but recently decided that I was tired of black powder and shotgun hunting for deer. I now hunt exclusively with handguns and use an Encore .45/70, Pachmayr decelerator grips, Millett electronic sight for deer here in Iowa. We started hunting antelope last year in my favorite state of Wyoming. I have a 7mm-08 barrel for the Encore with a Bushnell 2-7x32 scope and a Savage Striker in .260 Remington with a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 mil-dot. Thank you for the great site. I really enjoy it!

Hi Everyone, I'm a computer desk jockey by trade in Birmingham Alabama. When the Bama heat subsides in the autumn I enjoy getting out and about in the woods although I don't have a specific place to hunt other than public lands. I've been a shooter for quite some time and am planning to try handgun hunting this season. I've been a reloader for quite a few years and 45 Colt is my preferred caliber.

Hi, name here is Hank from Oklahoma and do all types of hunting, but most of my deer hunting is with big bore revolvers from 45 Colt to 500 Maximum and including a Dave Clements 5 shot 50 cal Ruger Old Army for primitive season.

My largest revolver is a custom BFR in .50 Alaskan. Haven't hunted with it as it is just something for fun.

I'm a small business owner and longtime hunter. This year if I get the chance I think I'm going to try taking a deer with a handgun. I'll be hunting with a rifle and have the handgun along so I can pick my shot. I'm a meat hunter and since it's legal here I'm going to try my 1911 if I can get one to stand still right at the base of my stand.

I am Brenda From Auburn WA. I have been collecting shooting TC contenders since they first came out in the mid '60s. Most of my previous hunting including bird hunting with Brittanies that I used to train, hunt and show; Rifle hunting for deer and elk, and bow hunting. For many years it was not legal to hunt with handguns in WA. So, I am a rank beginner when it comes to handgun hunting. Since I am retiring in a month I am really looking forward getting started -- I have so much to learn
