Hello, my name is Chad. I have a beautiful wife and two sons. I work as a Correction Officer here in Idaho. I have been bit hard by the handgun hunting bug. I have an Encore with 204 Ruger and 460 S & W barrels, a Ruger Bisley in 45lc and a Taurus Judge with a six inch barrel. I have been highly impressed with the wealth of information and commraderie contained here on this site. I can tell you all know your stuff!

Just a quick intro: The name is Paul. I’ve been an avid handgunner and hunter since the purchase of my Contender in 1975. Have gotten into blackpowder pretty heavy since then. Rifles, small and large bore, shotguns and handguns all stuffed from the front. After a lot of field time with long guns, I am looking to transfer the blackpowder bug back to my first love, handguns. Currently have a T/C Scout and Knight HK-94 in .50 and a Ruger Old Army. Stumbled upon this site a while back and am really impressed with the broad base of knowledge and topics. Hope you don’t mind me hangin’ out here for a bit and beg you tolerance if I throw my two cents worth in.

My name is Don. I'm new to this forum, but hunting with a handgun. My first animal was a javalina many years ago with the Super Blackhawk in the early sixties. I'm a retired engineer, and my wife and I travel alot. I hunt alot. Mostly with my handguns, and sometimes with my rifles. I'm looking at the present time to purchase my first Big Game caliber handgun. I'm undecided as to which caliber or revolver to get. I've enjoyed lurking on the sidelines. You folks have taught me a lot already. Thank you. I'm also a member of the NRA,Boone and Crockett, Dallas Safari Club. I'm not sure how much I can contribute, but am always willing.

Used to fly alot. Medical issues got in the way. I had to quit flying myself. I still spend quite a lot of time in small planes during the year, both on wheels and floats.

Here goes- My name is Jimmy and I LOVE my handguns. I dont have very many, but the ones I do have get used A LOT!!!!! I am a US Army Paratrooper, and have been on jump status for 14 years. I also get to shoot a TRUE big bore on a regular basis, a 105mm Howitzer- been an artilleryman for 16 years. I do hunt with my SBH .44 mag, but recently acuqired a 7.5" BFR in 500S&W that I am currently working loads up for. I also have a custom mold from Mountain Molds in route- she should weigh in at 550grs. I am currently stationed in Alaska and the critters can get pretty big up here, and I believe in the saying that there is no such thing as TOO dead. I am glad to be a part of the forum and look forward to the chit chat.

Hello fellow hunters - I'm Anthony and I live in Ohio. I've used my Taurus 44mag with a red dot (got it in a trade) to take about 5 does in the past 5 years. This year I will be using my 45LC RBH with open sights. We do alot of drives during gun season so open sights will help in the brush. Gun seasons starts Nov 28th! I'm Pumped! I will definately post pics of any deer harvested.

Cop with 13 years on. Firearms instructor.

I have hunted with my Bisley 5.5" 45 Colt for years for fun, but I have been taking it out more and more as my primary hunting pistol. I also just ordered a 14" 35 Rem for my Contender and look forward to loading up some bullets.

Thoughts on a load for the 35 Rem.

Thought I would start with the 180s and 200s with ~40 gr of H322

Hello all, I am an old member but now have co.e back after 2.5 years do to a move and living off grid. I went by Rupe and now I go by Rupe430. My old login didn't work. I WAS from Springfield, Oregon and am now from Christmas Valley, Oregon. I live 20 miles from the border of nowhere and can hunt as soon as I walk out the door inro the High Desert. I have been Handgun Hunting for about 12 or so years now. I hunt with a SBH .44mag Hunter most of the time, but just picked up a Striker in .308 for the long ranges over here. I love calling in Bears and coyotes, but hunt any game I can. I see alot of old names here still and am glad they are still here. I have really missed this forum. I am on a cell phone so I can't post pics. It's not a smart enough phone I guess. Any way nice to be back! Rupe
