What can any of you tell me about the 10X Burris pistol scope ? I assume that Burris quit producing this scope. Am considering purchasing one since the price seems right.

RUPE/PA, I thought they were still making it. I was on their site last night but didn't check because I like their 3-12x so much. I also liked their 2-7x AO but they are hard to find.

Last year when I was going to purchase a scope I could not make up my mind between the 10 power and the 3-12. Called up my favorite distributor and ask about the 10 power. He said Burris droped them from the line and he sold the last one that was in stock a week or so ago.

I got the 3-12 and it has worked great. I still might pick up a 10 power when I find one at the right price.

I have a Burris 3-9 that drives me crazy and yesterday used my new 3-12. What a difference ! It's much easier for me to work with the 12X setting than it is to work on the 9X setting on the other scope. I may pick up the 10X and put it on my 270 Ren. Thanks.

Rupe/PA,

I have a Burris 10X. It is currently mounted on an XP-100 6 MM Rem. The exit pupil is small and the eye relief is long. It is difficult to use in the field. Makes a pretty good scope for load testing or shooting varmints from a bench. I still use it but, like the 3-12X much better.

Yep Burris discontinued the 10X LER Handgun Scope. However Natchez Shooters Supply still has then in stock (or did the last time I checked). I too had thought about buying one for my Bench Rest Rimfire Contender, but for the small price difference I went with another 3x12x Burris.

Speaking of Burris scopes I saw an oddball today. It was a straight 3x with AO. Weird. Didn't buy it don't have a use for it. But I did see a S&W PC 500 talk about sweet. But the conscienceAKA wife was with me. It's better when my bro goes. He talks me into things.
