Hi group,

I was at a local gun show and there was a seller with a Merrill (is that how you spell it?) pistol. It has 5 barrels, 7mm Merrill, 6.5 JDJ, 22LR, 357 Mag and another I forget. Four of the bbl's looked like stinless, one was blued. The frame looks like stainless or brushed nickle. It also had three cheap scopes. All had scope mounts. He wanted $1500.00 but hadn't had a bite on it and was looking for a trade or cash. He just wants to get rid of it.

Anyway, What do you guys know about this firearm company?

Thanks!
Bill in OR

The Merrill was a competitor of the TC Contender back in the '80s. It had a following in the handgun silhouette competition at that time. It is listed in my 1983 Shooters Bible. The price at that time was $500 for a 10 3/4" barrel model. Standard barrels were 9", 10 3/4" and 14". The guys who shot the merrills were identifiable by the "Merrill extractor" they carried. This extractor was a length of wood dowel used when the weak extractor system failed to perform it"s function. These guns were well thought of for their accuracy but, cost twice as much as a Contender and were not twice as accurate! Hope this helps.
