Just put up the long gun. This year I am going with my SBHH .44mag 7.5 inch.
I will have a bear and deer tag for California.What do tou guys recommend for a factory load for the both? I don't reload.

well dave i do reload but if i did not i would go with a 240gr
anyway that would work on both i would think some may say
more or less but that is my 2cents

I would have a look at the Winchester Partition Gold bullets for the deer and bear if they are going to stay under 300#. After that a good JSP or hard cast and shoot for the shoulder. Federal Cast Core 300's shoot very well in my SBH Hunter as do the Garrett Ctg. 310 hammerheads. I've had good luck with the regular Remington 240 green & yellow box JSP's. For some more premium hunting ammo check out CorBon.

I like the 270 gr Gold Dot JSP from Speer. I handload it but Speer and Buffalo Bore offer ammo with this bullet too.
