some of you may already have read this issue but after a week I finally looked through mine and saw it has some interesting handgun articles in case you need some more reading material. I noticed there have been a few inquiries on the 460 here and there is a write up on it in there.

I've received Shooting Times for something like 12 yrs. It is a great magazine for the money. I really liked the May issue. It had alot of handgun hunting info. It is a great "all around" gun magazine. If you don't subscripe to this mag, you should check it out. TonyinKY

I thought that the May issue of ST was one of the better ones in recent months. I still prefer GUNS but ST is another of my faves that I continue to receive.

Layne Simpson`s 460S&W article lists some new handloads plus the velocities for seven factory loads from a 5" barrel and the 12" PC barrel.Metcalf`s article is a typical page filler with a listing of the latest mag revolvers. What I have read and learned from you guys since joining this website could fill a hundred magazines. Sincerly, James

Haven't read the latest issue, but I would have to agree with James & Gary. I used to love shooting Times, especially Skeeter's stuff. But now I'm more interested in specific areas, & with handguns it's generally hunting big game. There isn't really a magazine out there for that. About the only outdoor magazine I reguraly buy os Traditional Bowhunter. If someone would come out with a handgun hunting magazine along those lines (and there was enough market to support it) I'd sure buy it. In the mean time I'll save my $5 for bullets & come here for far better entertainment & real down to earth tested wisdom.

+1 For Traditional Bowhunter! It's head and shoulders above any other archery magazine.

I have to second that. My Dad has been getting that one for years. It is amazing how many handgun hunters hunt with bows. I started handgun hunting in 97 when I got tired of taking left handed shoots with rifles out of my bow stand!

Vance, Know what you mean about Skeeter...I`ve cut out and saved, in plastic page holders, just about every article he has written. I bought his first book and almost bought the second when I realized I already have all his stories. Ross Seyfred,John Taffin and Brian Pierce now fill the void. James

I wish someone would write a good mag. on Handgun Hunting ONLY! But I have learned more about handgun hunting on this site over the last couple of months then I have in the last 10 years of hunting with a handgun from any mag. This site is a gold mine of info.
