Hey guy's I just ordered my new contender barrel in 375 win. I've got all kinds of reloading data in my reload books , But I would like to here what you guy's have cooked up for hunting. And what scope i should get(power, brand,). I'm up for any idea's ,I would like to use 250 gn sierra game king bt's in that gn. But I am up for suggestions. The primary kill will be elk, bear, moose, bison. Looking forward to hereing what you have. Oh and by the way,its not on the load chart for members only.

Ihunter03,I havent tried any slugs over 235 gns but I use 35.5 gr of reloader 7 with hornady 220 flat points or 225 spire points out of a 14 inch ss contender and its giving me just over an inch at one hundred and the 225's fly a couple of inches higher at 200. I havent killeed any thing with the 225s but the flat points kill big hogs quickly.Good luck.

Thats good to know . Did you find much case swelling with that load? How big of pigs ,and where do you hunt them? We just started hunting them this year. Loved every minute. were going again next year for the 1000 pounders.

1000pounders!? I've only killed little bitty 200 pounders. I wacked one in the neck at about 25 yds once and the left about a one inch exit hole though. If your going to hunt moose or bison I would half to agree that larger bullets would be in order. I'm hunting in ca and I've had no abnormal case swelling and its a really easy case to reload

Mine was 350 pounds. My maxi did the job well but I don't want to risk it on a bigger animal. Was looking to maybe start with 250-260 gn bullets and see what happens.

Thanks Lars
