Has anyone here ever baited black bear for themselves? I know many guides use that method but I have entertained the idea of a do it yourself bait hunt.

In Oregon we are not allowed to bait bear, yet we can put sent all over our bodies that smell like bear food and wait for them to come in. I call them in myself. Baiting for bear is alot of work to do it right. That means you have to put out new bait every day or Two and make sure they don't run out. You need to get friends with the butcher the baker and the molasses dealer. Or it could cost you a small fortune.

You could always give your local anti-gun greenies a trekking guide to your favorite bear hunting ground and let nature take its course.... Of course there are probably somethings that even a bear won't swallow.

Maybe I'll put some bear in heat on my hunting camo's see if they will come to my call alittle faster. But I'm sort of scared, what if my gun jams? I don't want to get violated!LOL
