On Tuesday at my clinic appointment the doctor looked at my blood counts and tracked my slow progress in the chart. She then asks about suitable hospitals close to home. I told her I could be to one in less than 20 minutes. Not that I have a lot of faith in the local small town hospital. LOL<LOL. After a little thought she said that it would be OK if we wanted to come home. She stressed that I need to keep up the infection prevention methods that we are using in the apartment in Buffalo and be very careful of anyone that is sick. So on Wednesday we packed up all out stuff and came home.

I must tell you that after being away from home for 4 months and 4 days and having a transplant with a bad bout of rejection, it sure was great to step into my house and sleep in my own bed! Best night’s sleep I have had in a long time.

The healing process is going to be a long one, but I do think being at home will help it along a little more.

Congratulations on getting home. Some thing about being in your own place helps with recovery as well.

Great news indeed. Maybe you'll be well enough by November to get out into the woods a little.

Tigger,

This is great news! Keep a small bottle of GermX in your shirt pocket(and use it), and DONT go in the grocery store.

Get well
