My son (10) just started racing go carts. He got the car 2 weeks ago and Saturday was his first time driving it. He was running a 150 dollar motor against 1000 dollar motors on cars driven by experianced kids. He ran 4 practice laps before the race and smoked a 12 car field. He is amazing, i haven't found any thing this kid can't do. He started playing baseball at 3 and was hitting the ball over the house by 5. He plays baseball,soccer an football. Now he has an awsome start to racing. Me and his step dad were working on the car to day. Prepping it for Next Saturdays race. We came up with the idea for getting him into Junior dragsters. I work part time at a drag strip, when i am not working at the gunshop,Lowes' or my fulltime Air Force job. They are pretty dang quick and with his reflexs. I think he could put a hurtin' on them kids too. Any who, hope you guys don't have a problem with me posting this.

Other than being obnoxiously loud (I race bikes and we stage beside the JD's)...those JD's are pretty cool!

He sounds like a natural. Don't let his talent go to waste, but by the same token don't push him too hard right off. Never know where the next Earnhardt, Force, or Garlits will come from ;-)
