It is not often we get to rectify mistakes we make, and in trading guns this is no different than anything else. Well today I did just that, rectify a mistake I made last winter prior to my having surgery.

I had sold a SS Contender Frame with Pachmayr Grip & Forend, Blued Super 14 (1 in 14" Twist) .30-30 Ackley Improved Barrel (that the guy that bought it from me had it Metaloy Plated to match the SS Frame), 2x7x32mm LER Burris LER Handgun Scope, Weaver Base with 3 Rings, Butler Creek Flip Open Scope Lense Covers, Redding Dies, Brass and Ammo. Well today I got it all back.

Yes I am a super happy Handgunner tonight, and I think my buddy is also as he got my Ruger Stainless-Steel KM77 MKII .223 Rifle, Ram Line Synthetic Stock, 2x8x44mm Simmons ATEC Rifle Scope, Butler Creek Flip Open Scope Lense Covers, Butler Creek Stretch Rifle Sling and 598 rounds of .223 ammo.

This was an even swap with no money changing hands to make it even better.

Now as soon as my 6mm T/CU On Target Technologies SS Contender Barrel gets here I should be all set for a little while.

I am so excited I just had to tell you guys about my good fortune.

I'm happy for you Larry. It doesn't work out that way too often.
I'm also happy you got it back so that you can do more load development for me!

Well Vance I am not sure if I am going to get time to do much more load testing considering the way my summer has been going, but I plan on trying.

Drdoolittle_1, yea I have said that same thing many times, but hopefully I am getting a little smarter. I had to sell off a bunch of guns to help get through my being on medical leave last winter and help out my daughter. I was fortunate to get this one back.

KYODE I hope you are right. When Nicole got home from work tonight and I showed her the .30-30 AI, she said "COOL now I can shoot my deer this year with the same gun I used last year to shoot my deer". I think there might just be another SD Handgunner in the making.

If I could only get one or two of my "Never should have sold that one" back, I'd be in heaven.

Hey Pard
No one could be happier than I am that you got that one back. That is a real nice outfit.
I know how you feel when you have to part with a favorite gun to pay other expenses...been there done that. Hope I can manage to get through this latest round of trouble with out losing any of my small collection. The 30-30AI will be the last to go if that becomes necessary.
Congrats proud papa....keep shootin

Thanks Shortgun, I knew that would make you happy. Yea selling that barrel was not the easiest thing I have ever done, but considering who I sold it to I knew I would have a chance to get it back some day. I really like the looks of the Metaloy Finish also, it doesn't match the SS Frame perfectly, but is a nice matte finish. I'll try to get a photo of it posted next week.
