there is a smith and wesson model 427 to be sold at an auction near me soon. does anyone know anything about 427s roughly what are they worth.

are you sure it's a 427? I had never heard of that model so I just checked my gun value blue books and none of them list it. they do list the 27 and 627 which are both 357's but I can't find anything close to a 427.

just talked to the man who has it. the correct model is 422

That's a .22 LR and not one that was very popular. I wouldn't give more than $150 for it at auction and it would have to be in very good condition and have a couple of factory mags. S&W doesn't make it anymore either. It was a really odd design.
