I am starting to realize that one encore frame isn't enough. I am always changing barrels and stocks...It's time to get another frame. How many frames do you guys have?

I had 3 contender frames when I was into them before and I think I had 8 or 9 barrels at the time. I have 4 barrels now and only one frame and I think I'd be happy if I had at least one more frame.

I just got in to the Encores 2 years ago, I got one for Christmas, my wife got one for Christmas and so did my oldest son. Now I need barrels and scopes for the new barrels, then probably one more frame.

Hang in their Rupe...I used to feel the same way.
I'm thinking I need a second frame, and then I'll be satisfied. I just get tired of changing stocks mostly. I'm only up to 3 barrels, so I could probably use some more of those as well.

I've got 6 tubes and one frame, with no need for any more frames. Each barrel is season specific so I don't need to change back and forth quickly. I have other pistols that I can grab in a hurry if needed. I have been using the 'Tender less and less as I've been accumulating revolters and bolts more and more.
Rod, too.

Two Contender frames. Recently picked up an Encore but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it.

Pope & Young, I have been shooting TC’s for 15 years. Between my Dad and I we have 12 Contender frames of various models and 5 Encore frames. My Dad has been shooting TC’s for over 35 years. I traded in a few things to get my G2 frames. My wife loves the Contender but can’t open it.

I only have one contender frame and 3 barrels. That seems to be enough for now , I'm trying to get more revolvers for now.

Which is a better choice, the G2 Contender or the Encore? If you had to buy one and how do they shoot? Sounds like a lot of you guys have them.

Which is a better choice, the G2 Contender or the Encore? Depends on what you want to chamber it in. The Encore will handle pretty much anything but is BIG and HEAVY and CLUMSY. The 'Tender will hold anything I want to shoot and handles nimbly. The trigger reach is LONG on the Encore, too long for my hands. You relly need to handle each and make your own decision, but you couldn't give me an Encore (well you could but it would be traded shortly thereafter ;-)
Rod, too.

I'd go with the contender also, the 375JDJ has probably accounted for more elephants than any other handgun cartridge so you really don't need more power and the 7-30 will handle deer sized game out to ranges approaching 300yds if you do your part so to me personally I don't need to sacrafice more weight for more power. Note, I didn't say I wouldn't want one just that if I could have only one it would be the contender.

the G2 contender is the sweetest thing. my favorite gun in the world, no matter how much some fancy stuff out there costs.
the encore is great as well, but it does make a larger/heavier handgun. i have a couple just for those "must have" chamberings that the contender can't handle.

Hey guys, great info. Exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it will be the G2, when I am ready to purchase. Gotta get my reloading equipment first though. And still want to "feel" each of them first.

I have 2 Encore frames, one SS and one blued. I have 15 barrels so one more frame would be handy. If one comes along at the right price I'll add it to the collection.

You guy`s have got me feeling guilty so I put all my cleaning gear together to give my FA`s revolvers some TLC so maybe I will not have to go through what Rod had the other day. I got wacked once with my 454 and would not enjoy going through the same thing with my 475.......

I got wacked once with my 454 and would not enjoy going through the same thing with my 475....... actually my gun never got near me, it was just the scope. I guess that's a testament to the recoil force of these guns for it to launch the scope that hard after breaking off the screws.
