just baught a scope for my 30-30 contender.2-6 bushnell 3200. i think this will work good for deer. all i need now is range time and a little more scouting the woods. looking forward to my first deer with a handgun.

Genesis chapter 1 verse 26

When shooting a single shot their are no warning shots.

Welcome to handgun hunting!!
Let me tell you about my first deer with a handgun (30-30 too). I shot at a doe and missed then shot at the buck chasing the doe and missed. I was on the ground looking for any indication that I may have hit either one and the buck came back looking for the doe and I got him the second time around. If you miss keep your cool and reload. I hate to admit to this but the first three deer I killed with my contender I missed with the first shot and shot them with a second shot. I am not talking about a long range shot either they ran to me after I shot and missed. I like to look at like I gave them a warning shot first.

Good Luck!!
