Guys is it truly feasible and cost effective to convert the 480 SRH to 475 Linebaugh. And who would you recommend to do the work? It seems as though it would be the equivelant to the 45LC and 454 Casull capability as with the 454 SRH. If that were the case I would think that all you would have to do is extend the cylinder throat to accomodate the 475's additional length. It should be able to accomadate the chamber pressures as the 480 is already a 5 shot cylinder. Of course this is "ALL SPECULATION" and we know where speculation has gotten our economy latelty. Just look at the "Blown Up" gas prices. Now we wouldn't want to have those same effects on the 480 cylinder now would we. However the thought still intrigues me about a 475 SRH. Your thoughts please.

The old 480's were 6 shot. The 5 shot model never made the scene before it was dropped from the Ruger lineup. I have heard that a few 5 shot Alaskan model were produced. So you are still looking at some custom gunsmithing to make it a 475 Linebaugh.

Hamilton Bowen will do one on any SRH frame. It will be a 5 shot.
