I shoot them out of my 10" contender. They've performed fine on game over a max load of H110. I shot a small buck late last season at about 50 yds and he went down on the spot. DRT. Never shot one through a crony.

I've got some loaded, but haven't tried on game after hearing of needle pass throughs. I want to try on media first before I poke a whitey with one. I have real good success with XTP 180's and 158 FP-XTP's from the max. The 35 Rem shines with the SSP's.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

2150fps+ 15' from the muzzle of my 14" 35rem rimmed contender. 3 or so deer at 200yrds, maybe + a few on a couple. these deer have acted like they were hit by a ton of bricks. so....maybe you can have a comparison if you know your muzzle velocity.
I've used the .35 cal 180SSPB's for deer on many occassions in both the .357 Herrett and .35 Remington. The .35R launches them at 2100+fps but the Herrett is only around 1900fps...which is only a touch faster than the Maximum will push them. "Needling" was not a problem on both deer dropped with the Herrett...ranges varied from 65yds to 115yds.
