Finally got a chance to shoot the 44 mag at 100 yds. today. For the first time at that distance I got 2 cylinders within a group of a pie plate. Did 2 more cylinders at 50 and kept a group with in 4". With a combination of setting the scope and trying out the 240 xtp on top of H110, this will definately get better! Not sure that I will ever shoot a deer at 100 yds, but at least I know how the 240s' will hit!!

Also bucks are starting to make rub lines. Found a few trees tore up. 4-5" diameter close to 4' high. This is alot earlier than normal. Cool weather is starting things a few weeks ahead than the past few years. In eastern VA it has been HOT during bow season, this year will be interesting!

Got to try out a friends P345, not really big on autos but this one shot good. No doubt about it Ruger puts out a nice piece!!

It sounds like any bucks within 100 yards are going to be in trouble!

With your shooting added with a double lung shot theres not a deer in the world that stands a chance against your 44 from the muzzle out to 100 yards.....good huntin...

Congratulations and good luck this year. Keep practicing and your groups will shrink even more.

I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a handgun today.

I appreciate it guys, I was messing around with the scope a little but overall I am confident enough to take the chance I guess. We will see soon! After my friend shot the 44, he was all about getting one rigged up.

As long as I don't get the buck jiggles when he finally comes around!LOL

No you wouldn't! But as far as I am concerned, if your gonna be a junky, a buck junky is your best bet.
