anyone know what kind of holster Larry Weisuhn uses for his T/C? I've seen it on some hunting shows it's a leather bandolier holster with a shell holder on the strap.

Rod, I can't think of the name of it. They used to sell them in the Fox Ridge catalog.

That guy makes it look so damn easy. But I'd still go hunting with him.

I'm thinking on one for my contender, right now I've got a sling on it because I use it to help stable myself when shooting but I don't like the way it hangs down when I'm walking so I haven't decided for sure what to do but I liked the looks of that set up when I saw Weisuhn using it.

Rod there is also another option that is a really good holster for the big guns. Quiet Hide Holsters, Dave custom makes them. He has different camo prints and fabrics to choose from. Just something to think about, here is the link; Quiet Hide Holsters

Thanks Tig, those are some nice holsters. It says to contact them for price quotes but do you have any idea on what they run approximately. The pistol package bandito with shell holder would be 98.00.

wapitirod, I'm fixing to have to get me a new holster for my Reeder. It won't fit now that I've added 1 1/2" with the brake. I'm probably going with the pistolpackaging bandito, I've heard alot of "Thumbs Up" comments on them...KRal

I have one of Dave's Quiet Hide holsters for my Contender. Here's a few picutres of the holster with my Contender with a .35 Rem Hunter barrel and Bushnell 3200 2-6x scope I wanted an open ended verticle holster so that I could use different length barrels in it. He made it to my measurements and specific to the way I have my gun set up. I paid $95 for the hoster, and that included an extra $5 for the cartridge loops on the side. The best part is that I had the holster in my hands in less than 2 weeks from the day I talked to Dave. Dave posts in the handgun forums over on Graybeard Outdoors under the name onesonek. If you check in the TC classified section, he has a post at the top regarding a current sale on his holsters. He's a great guy and he makes a great holster. Andrew

I also have one of Dave's holsters. He designed a backpack rig for me to carry a large, scoped handgun such as an Encore or XP. I wanted something to carry my hunting guns in for climbing the mountains or any place else I might be walking long distance. I first tried his holster out in Cameroun while tracking bongo in the rain forest for many miles. I cannot say enough good things about his workmanship. On top of that, he is a gentleman to deal with.

The pistol package bandito with shell holder would be 98.00. Isee I need to spend more time here, but is been busy. My scoped TC rigs start at $85.00 shipped and insured Options may include storm flaps, cartridge loops pocket, and mini mag type flashlite pocket. Those run $10.00, $5.00, and $8.00 respectively. My son checking out the fit Not limited to TC's btw. Also, I would like to thank those whom have posted here or elsewhere in my support! It is my main goal to keep the trust by providing the best I can! Dave
