I'm not going to buy it but looking at Reeder's web site I thought that price was not to bad. What do you guys think it's worth?

to have it built your looking at the donor gun plus 1200.00-1300.00 to work it over because I'm guessing it's been refit with a 5 shot cylinder and it will have one of his barrels and then the engraving and action work. New it would be in the same price range as a field grade FA, it just depends on what you like. I lean towards customs because of their uniqueness and accuracy out of my Reeders will hold their own with a FA.

I saw that one sitting in the display case in the Dundee store recently and I'm not sure what Gary's done to that one but its still got the original barrel and cylinder..... seemed a bit pricey to me.

if that's the case then yes it's definitely over priced

I've seen the pics and it looks like it just has Gary's bisley style gunfighter grip installed, vapor hone finish, and probably has action job but, can't see it..LOL...these services will typically run about $600, plus cost of base gun, new around $550, figure in used value and it's probably worth around $900-$1000...just my 2 cents...KRal

It also has engraving...another $100 or so...

The black micartas are nicely fitted, but are probably the single most expensive after market feature on that gun. It's probably had an action job with the locking base pin. I wouldn't pay anything near what they are asking.
