Just got my new Charger in and mounted this optic on top--
http://www.rapidreticle.com/22lr3-9x32.htm

I'm hoping for 200 yds. with some degree of accuracy--we'll see.

That should be interesting! Those Chargers look like fun guns. That should be quite a rainbow trajectory at 200 yds. Let us know how it does.

Thks. guys, i ran the ballistics on a 40 grainer @ 1100 fps mv, and it looks like about 22 minutes of drop at 200 and 7.5 windage with a 75 yard zero. About like the 308 shooting a 175 grainer at 800 yds. +/-. Maybe on the calmest day...? Will find out soon.

Steve...I've been looking at these lately. Thinking I would swap on a 10-22 SS Match barrel cut to 14-ish or so inches. Nice gun for sure!!

Man. had some great results today guys. Trigger's a bit stiff/gritty with some creep, but not unmanageable. Thunderbolt subsonic gave an avg. of 1100 mv, but was keyholing the tgt. Got a little spooked at that, so tried the CCI Stinger advertised at 1640 mv, and got around 1450 avg, maybe 60 fps ES. 2 3-shot 2" groups at 100. Went straight to 200 yd. 2 ft. diameter gong, and according to Exbal needed 14.25 MOA of vertical compensation with a 75 yd. zero. Turned out it actually needed 16.9 MOA for a good zero. Shot several 4-6" 3-shot groups then. Whhoorahhh!!

Thought i'd do better with the Federal Game-Shok that was suggested to me. Got 8-10" groups @ 200.

All this was with 2-3 mph 6 o'clock winds. I'm pretty happy and as soon as i calculate the PFI Rapid Reticle zeros i'm going rabbit hunting/sniping (tomorrow).

That is a cool scope. That would be alot of fun on a Charger.

pter102k is right by definition in the NY penal law section 256.00 paragraph 22 titled "Assault weapon" means;

(c)A semiautomatic pistol that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least two of the following characteristics:

(1)An ammunition magazine that attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip

(2)A threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer

(3)A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel and that permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned

(4)A manufactured weight of fifty ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded

(5)A semiautomatic version of an automatic rifle or shotgun or firearm

So when you look at the Charger it fills 2 of the requirements.
1~ detachable magazine outside of the grip
2~ it weighs more than 50 ounces, it actually weighs 56 ounces according to the Ruger website.

Also the stock could be considered a shroud as it allows the shooter to hold the gun with the nontrigger hand without being burned.

pab1 your are totally correct. If obama gets in the rest of the country will suffer just like we do in NY.
And chances are it will be worse!

sounds like a pretty cool rig sscoyte. I'm with you have as much fun as you can while you can. The big problem is that besides looking like osama will get the white house the left is looking at gaining in the senate and congress and it could be bad enough that the right could lose enough seats that they will be completely helpless to stop anything, basicly we would lose all the checks in the system and the left will be free to pass whatever laws they want especially after osama appoints some super liberal supreme court justices.

Your guys are so right. WE are going to be heading in the same direction as the Auzzies are in. It is so unfair that they can change or ignore the 2nd Amendment. It just isn't right! This country is selling out on what our founding fathers wanted for us. They are twisting and stretching the Constitution to fit what they think is what will keep them in office. AAAARRRRGGGG! Sorry had to vent! rupe
