Had a old friend that would name his rifles, Buster, Critter Ridder, Deer Slayer........ Any of you have names for your handguns?

However This name has been passed down from the 4 5/8 44 mag TCMan now owns.

my 4 5/8 barreled 475 has a nickname that means bad female dog, with the standard grip frame instead of a bisley you only have shoot a full house load out of it once to understand why.

I name all my guns. Shotguns are men, Riffles are female, and revolers were given their names by charactersitcs.

My 10" .357 Herrett with muzzle porting was "affectionately" given the name the Big Boomer by my son. It got this name when we sitting in a home built tree stand together. I shot a buck that he had missed twice with his 30-30 marlin. He complained his ears were ringing for several hours after. Hence The Big Boomer. (after that day I used a .30 Herrett without porting when we had to sit side by side.)

No not as of yet anyway. I did name my Jeep though. Gertrude, it means Maiden Warrior.

I name mine so I don't have to keep explaining to my wife which one I am talking about. Rambo is my ar15, rocky is my 629--7'' Smith .44 and the TC 12'' .44 is the 'the big boomer' b/c it has a muzzle brake and I was deaf for an hour when I forgot to put my plugs in to shoot a hog.

I have a remington xcr 700 that has been glass beeded, lugs trued, set in a Hs precision camo stock. It wears a Kahles CL 4-12x52MM Scope and throws Barnes 235 grain tripleshock 3150 fps. It's name is "Reaper".
