When I heard the news when my alarm went off this AM...I literally felt ill and a feeling of grave concern for our country. Welcome to the beginning of the end boys.

I read this morning where younger voters voted for Obama 2:1 over McCain. The age of entitlement has spoken! I have also read that many of our enemies applaud the outcome. Now what does that tell you! We in Colorado have lost two pro gun rights candidates. I fear that we who frequent this great website are a dying breed! IMO.

I as a 22 year old American am ashamed of what my generation is doing to this country. I have never seen a group of people that feels more entitled to something in my life. Living in the welfare state of CA makes it worse. I am scared of what this country might become in the next 30 years. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." I am afraid the tree might be in need of a good refreshing in my lifetime.

I'm not so sure its a matter of they "Forgot" but more likely that they've never been taught what our founding fathers/brothers and sisters have fought and died for .....

yes but 232 years ago it worked out pretty good up until a few years ago and you must admit that although they were out numbered, out gunned, and out supplied they almost pulled it off a 147 years ago which shows what happens when you fight for something you believe in and not just fight because your told to.

AMEN!! The dam liberal slant and PC text books are brainwashing the young just the way they want them. This election was a perfect example of it. In college I had an american studies teacher that taught mostly from what he had read and researched, not from some textbook. He was a bit controversial at time but I belive he spoke the truth and really made you think about what was real, not some slanted story to hoodwink the masses.

Mrs. Rupe and I are going to look at some property tomorrow in the high desert. I'm going to put a wall around it. Break away from the state of Oregon and the USA. Name it Rupeland and see if I can get away with it. I hate what has and is happening to our country. Anyone want to join me?

Well, I hate to move to the other side of the table on this issue, but, you can't complain about what happened if you didn't do something to stop it. I've been a Republican for 37 years. The party, my party, has lost its way. It has move so far from it core values that I don’t even recognize it. The last eight years have been a disaster; huge debt, larger government, no transparency…it has been operated like more of a kingdom then a democracy. Greed, lies, public issue manipulation, we are discredited throughout the world; all these things come to mind. The branding of the Republican Party is broken.

So let’s take these next four years, lick our wounds and move on to rebuild what we once had.
