Along the same lines as the earlier post what was your favorite shooting scene in a movie?

Mine was when Clint shot Mingo off the boulder at long-range in the movie, "Joe Kidd," with one of Mingo's long guns he stole from him. It was well thought out when Mingo's bullet hit the guy on horseback, he fell off the horse and everyone's sitting there trying to figure out what happened and finally the report of the gun was barely heard off in the distance. Pretty realistic i thought.

although not so much a specific scene I have always been fascinated with the way Chuck Connors handled his winchester in the rifleman, anyone that has tried to spin a carbine knows it's not easy, but as far as actual shooting I think it was when Tom Selleck shot the bucket at the beginning of Quigley down under.

I'm there with ya Rod on Quigley. I also have a favorite relating to sixguns when Clint Eastwood swapped ends of both of those big 44's at the same time and shot the two guys who had the drop on him in "The Outlaw Josey Wales"

I forgot about the Josey Wales scene, that was awesome, the two big mountain men he was starting to hand his guns to. I remember he used walkers in that movie but I don't remember if the walkers were what he used in that scene or not but if he did that makes it that much more impressive and if you've picked up a walker you know why.

I think they were Walkers too. Although Hollywood has a way to make such things easier. Sharon Stone's gun in the Quick and the Dead was aluminum because she couldn't spin a full weight gun properly.

One of my faves is the end of Pale Rider when Clint is strolling down the boardwalk while swapping the empty cylinders for loaded ones in his 1858 Remington while calmly dispatching the bad guys.

When he shoots the rope on the ferry with the scopeed rifle and starts the Missouri boat ride!

In the magnificent seven when the rider is getting away and he beams down on him with his sa colt and shot the man off the horse as he is going up the hill and the young guy says"that's the most amazing shot I've ever seen" and the man answers"no it was a terrible shot I was aiming for the horse"

All my Favorites involve Clint Eastwood.

One of my fovourite movie scene is the final shooting of "Taxi Driver", but I like all Dirty Harry movies shooting scenes

I forgot the final shooting in "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man": I love that movie! ... "Don't yank the trigger, don't pull, squeeze it!"

I have to go with Quigley Down Under also. My favorite shot in that movie was when he hit two guys with one shot. I always liked the shoot out at the end of Open Range too.
