Well I have been ranting and raving but I want to steam to people who see my point of view somewhat. You know when veterans sign their name to defend this country and the constitution,we sign a blank check with the price being our lives if necessary. And then I hear people say they didn't vote for one reason or another and I lose it.Our fore fathers and veterans up until today fight, faught, and will continue to fight for our freedom and rights. So that people have a right they choose not to use?How could ANYONE have set back this election.I thought it was interesting to see in my state which counties voted which way.I have had a discussion with a die hard democrat who says that "he never heard his preacher preach anti American stuff"and that the NRA just blows things out of perportion to get money and people fired up.Are they, the folks that voted for Obama really that nieve and blind?Well I stand behind a bumper sticker I already have seen "I'LL KEEP MY FREEDOM,GUNS,AND MONEY YOU CAN KEEP "THE CHANGE!""

I think you guys have a fairly good idea of how I feel about the whole thing even though I know I'm kinda secretive about my feelings on the subject.

The state of Chicago kicked my southern Illinois @$$. They should break off the North Eastern corner of this state and annex it to Kalifornia.

Interesting thoughts. There are alot of theorys on the "end times" and I place the Bible with revelations at the top, but it's still disputed and not understood completele by the best of philosophers. SO what are you guys going to do for the next four/last years??

LOL<LOL<LOL

In light of the post I think pab1 had a good idea mixed in there. A revolver with the Handgun Hunt logo special edition. Any thoughts on this Gary???

might be easier to start with something like a contender barrel, just a thought. That way it also gives the guys that don't already own a contender a reason to buy one

Ezekiel 4:6 and Numbers 14:34 tell us that each day in the Bible equals one year in prophecy.

Revelation 12:6 refers to 1260 days

Revelation 12:14 refers to "time, times and half a time". "Time" in the Bible refers to a one year (360 day) period. So this equates to 360 days (time) + 720 (times) + 180 (half a time) which adds to 1260 days.

Revelation 13:5 refers to 42 months. 42 months times 30 days per month equal...1260 days.

This all refers to the the ruling time of the anti-christ power.

A study of the book of Revelation against actual historical world events spells out who the anti-christ power is.

Any serious study of the book of Revolutions takes serious commitment and dedication. It was overwhelming to me the first time I started!

It is intense for sure. I spent some time w/ a rather informed individual and we did a study of Daniel and the Revelation...it's amazing how pertenant Revelation is once you see it's relation to today's events and how the beasts described in it are actual coutries and world powers in history.

Did you ever figure out who the "little horn" is?? That will shock you!!

I was amazed at all the little things I had “missed” the first time I read it by my self. I was thought I was doing good… Then I was enlightened to what I had missed. It is nice having a brother in law (wife’ side) that is a Church of Christ preacher. He marries you and then puts the fear of God into you! LOL… My family is very strong in the Church of Christ. It was nice finding a God fearing woman that was equally yoked.

No offense but that is enough God stuff. I don't come here to be preached to I come here to share a common interest, HANDGUN HUNTING. I think that that is the title of this forum.

Take the bible study back to church and lets get onto our COMMON interests.

Sorry but I just hate getting preached to. My relationship with God doesn't include ramming my views down others throats.

I don't think anyone was trying to preach at anyone else. This post was started as a point to vent over obama which is extremely relevant to handgun hunting and this site and to think otherwise would be extremely naive. If our new president gets his way you can kiss your handguns and handgun hunting goodbye, if we're lucky we may still be able to use long guns as they do in canada and europe assuming you don't use a browning bar or reminton 7600 or maybe even your ruger 10/22. This man has a very dangerous agenda and just because someone follows another line of thought on who or what he is doesn't mean they are preaching at you. As far as myself and many others are concerned anyone that supports obama or doesn't take the threat seriously to our second amendment regardless of what religous implications he may or may not have needs to find another place to visit.

I am not sure that expressing a personal view to another like-minded individual who is in agreement with me would constitute "ramming my views" down a third person's throat, especially if that third person had voluntarily came on and took the time to read that conversation between us, verbal or written. There is a big differance between a conversation and a sermon. I cherry-pick what I do and do not want to read, but would hesitate to tell folks what they should or should not talk about. After all, personal freedom is the underlying thought on most minds now, is it not? Freedom of speech as well as owning and shooting handguns?

I'm not trying to stir up anything, so please don't get offended. That's not my purpose. Just want to take a look at the other side.

Bill...point taken.

I only replied to someone who started the discussion. My point was merely to inform those interested (and if that's not you then bypass my post) that Obama (though he is a dreadful character and I did NOT vote for him) is not the person we need to worry about that will cause the end times (if that is or is not your belief).

Now....how was that for a PC reply.

Briar...excellent reply!!

If peson #1 feels as though person #2 is "ramming views" down #1's throat...then it is #1's fault. Just like TV...change the channel or close your eyes. In a media such as this...DON'T READ THE POST...skip it and move on to another thread.

Said perfectly. If you don't like what you are reading move on. I have been here 8 years and alot people have come and gone. Some have varied opinions, I read what I'm interested in and leave the rest alone. The main forum is the meeting place and sometimes a few posts are off topic or get side tracked from Handgun Hunting but that's what makes this board diverse and interesting.

That's OK Gary if it takes a little while to get the group buy around. I was thinking that maybe the first Handgun Hunt revolver could be the New Freedom Arms cartridge in 22-327. First off it will be this spring before it's out and secondly I need to save the coin to get one. Just a thought.

I agree with briarhopper, I didn't read any preaching, nor anyone ramming anything down anyone elses throat. What I read was two members discussing something that they believe in. I happened to believe it what they are saying as well so I was very interested in what they were talking about. There is nothing wrong with two or more members expressing thier opinions. if someone doesn't like it then they need to go on to another thread. I skip alot of threads that I have no use for or that don't interest me. Others can do the same without making rude comments.

I still cannot believe for the life of me, that we are so deperate to vote for an idiot like this. I'm sorry, but he is anti-christian, anti-gun, pro-abortion (at all levels), pro-muslim, and anti-Israel.

They don't even know where he came from! He was adopted 3 times with 3 different name changes. He still refuses to manifest a birth certificate. As a matter of fact, there is a law firm sueing Obama Rama to prove his citizenship.

We are in for a sad state of affairs.

It is a shame but truly we were in a lose lose situation..I believe that down the road those of us who have served the constitution for so long, putting our lives on line for our country are going to eventually have to save our country from the very commander and chief position we served...I would gladly save my neighbor from a "Security Force" if needed..I would pledge my support to save the constitution...I do not advocate a milita but if push comes to shove,. I think that I was misunderstood. The beauty of the internet is that everyone, be it radical fundamentalist Christians to the supporter of the Taliban can find a group of like minded people to share their personal religious and / or other views with. There are thousands of sites and groups that a simple Google search will reveal. I have watched various, once wonderful sites, tear themselves apart when religion and politics are thrown into the mix. When I (we) sign in and register onto a (any) site it is because we all have a love and or passion for that issue, sport, beliefs…. That is where some of the other issues that showed up here belong, on those other sites. I have been a member of this site for a long, long time. We have all developed a sense of community to it. When one of us has suffered a tragedy we all rally around that person as a sign of mutual support. If someone says I need your prayers they don’t follow it up by asking for only Catholic, or Lutheran, or Baptist or prayer from the Koran; they are just asking for our support.

The above replies to this topic (and the other topic before this one) went way beyond a discussion of the 2nd Amendment or our feelings that it could be in jeopardy. People were using bible quotes, talking about seceding, sharing their view of the US through the eyes of their church; I don’t care about your religious views. Take that to a God site where everyone will appreciate your insight, experience and training. I’m more interested in load data for my new .375 Win, technological advancements in powders or scopes and maybe new bullets being released and their “in the field use on game.” I’m VERY interested in safeguarding my gun rights and new legislation that may affect that. THAT is what is a common thread here, not what is written in Revelations.

Just from the private e-mails I have received I’m not alone in my thoughts…now can we just move along?
