When I still used rifles, I used a Mdl. 70 .375 H&H a great deal in Africa. It's a great and versatile cartridge.
When I saw your post, I was reminded of an SCI Convention I attended several years ago. One exhibitor had an Encore pistol on a table in .375 H&H. No brake. When he saw my friend and I talking about it and grinning, he came over to us, and began to tell us how good it shot, and assuring us that the recoil was not bad. Having heard much more than a small amount B.S. in my life, I asked "Have YOU shot it?" "Welll, nooo..." he said as he wandered away.
That fishgill should really help, and JD certainly knows how to build them.
I always used Win. 760 and 300 gr. Partitions with CCI Mag. Primers in my rifle, which was and is a true 1 MOA rig.
