Yowzers!! It's a whopping 8 degrees this AM...but I have the two virgins (.45LC Hunter and .300 Savage XP) loaded in the backpack and ready to start the second week of the PA deer season. Headed into one of my honey holes today...hope to finally fill one of these stinkin' doe tags!! If I play my cards right...I could possibly fill both!

Really been wanting to bring out the LR hammers but the weather has been VERY windy at that hunting location. That tends to keep the deer in the woods and out of sight. But just acrossed the road in the patch of woods I'll be this AM...the wind will hardly move a twig.

Hey mellon and gascheck...you guys ought a have some chilly temps uo your way? How much snow??

Off I go.......

It's not that cold here but the humidity has been terrible, like 25 degrees and 75% hum. That's tough to stay warm in.

Good luck on the doe permits.

So much for this AM. Had a guy walk right through the deer's early AM staging area right at first light. Then wifey called...had a drain backing up...again. Came home to dig up the septic tank cover...it's full...so now instead of being in my honey hole, I'm waiting on the honey wagon!!

Instead of being at the "honey hole" you are doing a "honey do" weighing on the "honey wagon." LOL

I don’t usually smoke, but I went threw a pack of decent cigars the last time I did that.

Better luck next time.

Man, that pooped your day right up!LOL

A couple of weeks ago I had a guy walk through on me with his lab. I let him walk about 20 yards from then he finally saw the beacon orange hat and then he did a 180 outta there.

Ya know what they say Dan, some days your the dog, some days your the fire hydrant. Guess today was not your day. I have faith though, you're gonna break in those two pistols right before it is over.

8 degrees, yep that's cold. We haven't been in the minus column yet (that I know of anyway), but Saturday night (well into Sunday morning) while I was working the therometer in the Explorer was reading "1" most of the night. Saturday during the day the high was "7".

I am totally out of Deer Tags so I guess I have to concentrate on Calling Coyotes and being satisfied with Shooting my Rimfires at the Indoor Shooting Range (where it is usually 65 - 70 degrees).

Good luck Dan.

Yeah Dan it has been cold but we only have 2-3 inches here in Mercer. Good luck this week. Just finished wrapping and freezing my last doe after sampling a little for lunch today.

The honey sucker and plumber racked me for cash that I'd much rather have spent on another 3-12x32 Burris!!

Again...on the bright side...my latest 10X Burris showed up along w/ a package of brass from waprod.
