I was in a local gunshop fillin out the paperwork for a new encore and couldn't believe the number of folks wantin information about pistol permits, I was blamin' it on Obama- turns out the governor of new york has seen the light about how to balance the budget and keep the freebies comin'- they are talkin' about raising the ccost of a pistol permit application ttoooo $800- are they freakin nuts???

Doesn't cost us in VA anything - we don't have to have a permit to purchase. Sounds like it's time to move...

This state has been in trouble for a long time and it's going to cost the residents big time to keep her afloat.

Just for "information":in France the permits are free but we can't buy more than 12 classifieds guns,7 in centerfire and 5 in rimfire.
And nobody can buy guns (handgun or rifle) without a hunt license or shooting license.
It's little restrictive but we are lucky because in many another european countries,the rules are more restrictives.
For the moment you live in a "heaven",i hope that you keep your rights with Obama,and you have the NRA,the most powerfull association in the world in anti-gun.See the England's situation:no guns now:the goverment paid 250 pounds (around 450$) for each guns that the citizen return for destruction!!!

That is Crazy as Hell! They can think up some ricockulus rules to get some money up! I really feel bad for yous' guyz up there! Even on the aspect of a self defense gun for your home and family.

Destruction? $450.00 a gun? They'd have to pay me a hell of a lot more than that. I can't imagine seeing my own guns being destroyed not to mention my grandfather's old lever action 32s, double barrel shotguns and single sixes? It would kill me.

here in pa. i think the permit fee is $35 for a 5 yr. concealed weapons permit.

I just renewed my PA permit for $25.00 for 5 years.

along those lines, one of the guys at work signed up for the Utah CCW course, being given in Dansville New York, claims are that the Utah permit()cost is $180.00) gives you reciprocity in 48 states- not Illinois or Mass- does anyone have any knowledge that confirms this?

I'd be interested in that, Dansville is only 45 minutes away. I'll see what I can find out.

Hogg, I`am sure you know that New Jersey is just as bad. Theres a bill in Trenton right now that would limit the purchase of guns to one a month. Four more years and I will be movin to

got my permit about 5yrs ago tried to get the wife to get hers
she put it off now its not likley she get one.
