What do you guys think the perfect trigger weight is on a TC frame? I have been going back and forth on this and have to make a decision soon. Keep in mind I do use the frame in cold gloved situations. I was thinking 2.5 Lbs.....What do you think? Is that too light for cold weather hunting?

i like 2lb's as an overall favorite. i had a lyman digital trigger pull gauge as a loaner for a bit, every one of my many frames hovered around that point, with exception of one G2, which pulls at 15oz's....and i still use it to hunt as well.

Kentucky….no place like home.

I would say it needs to be the lightest that you can comfortably and safely opperate the weapon under your normal hunting conditions....KRal

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I hunt with triggers from 3# and under. Best for me is in the 1.5# range. One of my XP's is 7oz...and is AWESOME!! Shot two turkey's with that gun.

I hunt in northern Minnesota so I also need gloves. I have found that about 1-3/4# is as light as I dare use, and that is on my XP in .284. My Competitor trips at just over a pound and I won't shoot it with gloves, I just can't be certain of the feel. My 'Tender frame lets go at 2-1/4# and that works well too. If you get right at the 2# neighborhood you would be good to go.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

My Encores break at about 2-1/4 pounds. That works for me.

A round going off early can result in a bad day. I like mine in the 2-1/2 pound range. Most of the time I end up yanking on the trigger when my shakey sights happen to line up on the target.

Don't confuse shooting with hunting.
Shooting is a game, hunting is a sport.

Really a personal thing.
A 3lb trigger about kills me.
While 1.5 pounds is about standard for me, my MOA's are even lighter.
My rear grip 6.5-284 under 4 ounces (I don't hunt big game with it though).

I like something in the 2-3 lbs for my big game guns and as light as I can get them in my varmint rigs.

I have trigger shoes on several of my rifles and all 3 of my 1911's and it seems to make a huge differance in the pull. It seems to make 5 feel like 3. Overall I like about a 2.5 pull if I can get it.

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

I like mine in the ounces. My finger doesn't even come close to the trigger unless I'm ready.
