If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

To me it's worth about as much as a 6 digit# 'Tender, well a little less 'cause it will have to be converted. I suppose it would have a value to the right collector, danged if I know just how much. Not much help ;-)
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

mmmm....hard for me to say. not a lot to me personally, compared to newer versions with super 14 or bull barrels. the frame may need a "easy open conversion", which may be around 55+ shipping to have TC do. the barrel(unless collectable?)may not bring much on the used market either. i guess it depends if you want it for the collectability or ???? just because it's an oldie type thing.
Kentucky….no place like home.

H20Bug, I talked to my freind and here is what I got to be woth any more than a standard 6-7-8-diget mdlit must have these things. Flat Side(no engraving) In tth front of the frame(under the Barrel Lug when you take barrel off) there can not be a tooling hole And must be under 4000 serial number Most people don't know that T/C had some problems with BATF when they were getting going as the were not serializing in consecutive numbers to make their production look larger than it was. Later on they went back and filled in the missing numbers If your frame has all those Qualities it would be Worth about a$1000 But only if it was in Pristeen Condition and was a Flat Side ,No hole ,under 4000 # I hope this answers your questions on your find.

Thanks for the info that helped a lot. It is not a flat side so I would say it may not be much of a collector but I am going by again today to take one more look at it.

H2oBug, If it's not a Flatside then it is only worth what an old style non easy opener is worth $185-$250

I went by again today an I offered the guy $200 for the complete rig. He would not take it. However he said I was close so I may let it set for a few more weeks.
