Now that the deer season is winding down I would like to ask you guys what will you do next?? If I can put a some money together I`ll probably go for boar sometime in Febuary otherwise Pennsylvania is the closet state where I can hunt small game with a handgun, however time is the limiting factor.

I might try a little Coyote calling this winter if time allows. A little hard water fishing. Those -20 degree days are better spent inside working on my toys ;-)
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

James, as you stated, time and money will dictate but, our deer season doesn't close till end of January. I usually start back squirrel hunting till end of February. Also, I'm planning on a hog hunt with H2OBUG down in LA, if all goes well. Middle of March starts turkey season and they will keep me occupied till May. After that I'll take a little breakin hunting to do some fish'n. Sometime between June and October, I hope to go on an exotic hunt of some type, just haven't made up my mind yet...possibly a Ram...KRal

I'm going to take some time to heal up and do a bunch of reloading and hopefully by spring I'll be able to do some limited shooting and this fall I'll hopefully draw my mule deer tag.

I have several gun projects in the works that will get me through January. Crop damage deer hunting in February, SWPA Blast-n-Blab in April, spring turkey in May then all summer getting ready for Antelope in October!!
Also have some remodeling to finish somewhere in between...aargh!

James,
I'll probably be able to go for a hunt in early spring, though in March or so. I'll likely be in Washington DC and/or Pittsburgh, both within driving distance to anything in PA. But I would prefer a mouflon this time. Is February necessary for you or could you hold your horses until, say, mid-March? Any suggestions about mouflon hunting in PA would be welcome, btw.
PS. And we still wait for a range report on the Belt Mtn Punch bullets!

I am going to thin out the skirlz! They have been looked at long enough this year. After that I am going to start up a long range pistol. Thinking a G2 set up. I am seriously thinking of getting rid of my rifles and just strictly handgun it!!
I also have the area to Urban achery hunt, which goes on until March.

I almost forgot I also have a bunch of gun work to do. I have a walnut stock to fit to a model 94 that I bought as a saddle gun, I just finally installed a big loop lever on it, I have a timney trigger to install in a 03-a3, springs ordered to do an action job on a 1911, free spin pawl and action job to do on my super blackhawk, action job on a G2 (already done the honing but I'm waiting on some more springs from Bellm), I'm going to get back to making grips for my Rugers, Encore action job I'm doing for someone else and another sbh that already has wolff springs in it but needs an action job to eliminate trigger creep. Next on my list are a set of cylinder throat reamers in .357, .44 and .45. I also have some black powder revolvers that need action jobs but I haven't ordered the parts yet. I have enough stuff to keep me busy until I can start shooting again especially since I've decided two spine surgeries in 8 months is enough cutting for one year and I'm going to wait until after next hunting season to have my wrist fused.

Going to do a little coyote hunting after the first of the year, maybe try some Bobcat and Fox as well.
Might have to drive up and give Wapitirod a hardtime just to keep him on his toes. LOL
